When a user/extension is part of a group like a Hunt Group or Call Queue, you may want the user to view how an incoming call gets to them. This is so that they can answer the call appropriately like greeting the caller.
Our platform offers some powerful options that will allow your user to see from which group an incoming call is coming from. This is currently available for:
Hunt Groups
Call Queue
These settings only work on native apps and devices that are provisioned using the auto provisioning feature on the platform. This is because the SIP Header is sent as:
From: "Support Hunt Group (61488888888)" <sip:61488888888@yourpbx.voice.atomcomm.com>
If using a third-party app or non-provisioned device, it will need to support reading the Caller ID from the display name field as "Support Hunt Group (61488888888)" rather than extracting the CLI from the SIP URI line. Devices or apps that only parse the SIP URI will display 61488888888 instead of the configured group name format.
