Grandstream

Hosted Voice
When provisioning a Grandstream device, you should first set the required setting on the PBX as explained in Device Management
⚠️
You will need to have access to Grandstream’s Device Management System (GDMS). Please contact your device distributor to gain access of this platform.
Configuring GDMS
Once you have logged in to your GDMS account, click on the Site menu item and click on Add Site. Give the Site a name and select the appropriate Parent Site, which would be your main tenant. This is normally Default.
💡
Each site should be a configured ‘Service’ in Atomic as each service is assigned with a unique domain. This domain is required for the auto provisioning to happen.
Once you have created a Site, click on the Site Configuration button. On the top right, there is a dropdown box to select a specific device. If you are deploying various types of device and models, it is best to select General Series. Navigate to the Maintenance tab and replace the Config Server Path.

You will need to enter your PBX url here. This is the SIP Domain that was configured for this customer. If you have configured a custom SIP domain, the custom SIP domain URL can also be used. The URL must all be affixed with prov at the end. Leave out “https” and just enter the URL.
Example:
Normal SIP Domain - acme.voice.atomcomm.com/prov
Custom SIP Domain - acme.yourdomain.com.au/prov
Once that has been entered click on Save.
Adding Devices
Once you have your GDMS cloud setup, you can start adding your devices. You will need to enter the device in 2 areas:
  1. GDMS Cloud
  2. Hosted Voice Portal
Once the device is in both portals, within several minutes (if the device is online), the devices will sync and updated.
Adding Devices in GDMS
Navigate to the VoIP Device menu and click on Add Device. You can optionally use the Import Device option if you would like to bulk upload.
Enter the below details:
5 of 5 rows
MAC AddressThe MAC address of the device
Device NameEnter a descriptive name for the device. Normally the extension number.
S/NThe Serial Number of the device
SiteSelect the Site that this device belongs to. This will ensure that the correct provisioning template is used when auto provisioning the device.

Syncing Devices
By default, when devices are added, it will take several minutes (this can be up to 30 minutes) for the device to sync up. This is assuming if the device is online.
However, due to security, after a 24 hour window where if a device is either not synced or has not been connected to the internet, the provisioning window closes. You can restart the provisioning window by following the below steps:
  1. Login to the GDMS cloud and click on the VoIP Device menu and search for the device, either by MAC or serial number.
  2. Select the device and under the More option, select and click on Reboot Device. This will reboot the device to force a new refresh.
  3. Once that is done, login to the Hosted Voice portal and navigate to Settings > Device Management and search for the device.
  4. Click on Start and and then followed by Reprovision
