Connecting an External Voice Platform to Atomic

Voice
Atomic can provide phone numbers and calling services for many external PBX, voice AI, contact-centre and communications platforms.
AVA can help you research your chosen platform’s official technical documentation and map its connection requirements to the services available in Atomic.

What AVA can help you connect

AVA can help with:
  • Sending calls from an Atomic number to your voice platform
  • Making outbound calls from your platform through Atomic
  • Setting up both inbound and outbound calling
  • Matching your platform’s SIP requirements to the right Atomic connection
  • Finding the relevant settings in your platform
  • Troubleshooting instructions that do not match what you see
This can work with cloud services, self-hosted systems, PBXs and voice AI platforms that support a documented SIP or telephony connection.

Start by telling AVA what you use

Open AVA and enter the name of your platform. If the name could refer to more than one product, include its official website.
For example:
I want to connect my voice platform to Atomic for inbound and outbound calls.
AVA may ask a few questions before giving you the steps. It might need to know:
  • Whether you need inbound calls, outbound calls or both
  • Whether your platform is cloud-hosted or runs on your own servers
  • Whether you already have an Atomic voice service or connection
If you are unsure, say so. AVA can explain the options and help you identify your setup.

AVA checks both sides of the connection

For your voice platform, AVA checks the current official documentation for its supported SIP connection methods, settings and menu locations.
For Atomic, AVA uses our knowledge base to identify the suitable service, connection type and number-routing setup.
It then brings the two sides together into one set of instructions. If part of the connection cannot be confirmed, AVA will explain what information is missing and continue with the parts it can verify.

If the instructions do not match your screen

Platform menus change, and some options vary by account, plan or software version.
Tell AVA:
I don’t see that menu.
AVA will check the latest official documentation and help you find the current option. You can also share a screenshot, but hide passwords, API keys, phone numbers and other private information first.

Ask AVA about your integration

Tell AVA which voice platform you use and what you want the connection to do.
