Assigning a Caller Line Identification (CLI) to a User
When assigning a Caller Line Identification (CLI) number to a user, this will mean that any outgoing calls that the user makes, the recipient of the call will see the number appear on their device.
The system also supports Private Number selection.
💡
If Private Number is selected, you will still need to assign a CLI to the user. Recipients will not be able to see the number - this is regulatory requirement that requires all Private Number callers to still have a real phone number attached to the call.

You can only select DID's that have been assigned to your account.
Instructions
- Navigate to Extension/User
- Click on Edit for the user you would like to set this up for
- If you want the CLI displayed as a Private Number, toggle the switch On. If you want the CLI displayed as the chosen number, toggle the switch Off
- For CLI field, select the number that you would like to assign to the user
