See Who Performed an SMS Action
Hosted SMS records who performed supported messaging and campaign actions. This helps teams identify who sent a message, created a campaign or changed a conversation.
The user name appears directly in SMS conversations and reports. Administrators can also use User Activity to review shared actions across the account.
See who sent a conversation reply
Navigate: Inbox
Open a conversation and review an outgoing message. The message shows Sent by followed by the user who sent it.
Filter the Delivery Report by user
Navigate: Report > Delivery Reports
Step 1: Select Advanced Filter.
Step 2: Under Sent By, select a user or leave All users selected.
Step 3: Set any other required filters.
Step 4: Select Search.
The Sent By column identifies who sent each message. Select View to open the message details. Downloaded delivery reports also include the recorded sender information.
Review campaign attribution
Campaign lists show Created By so you can identify who created each campaign. Open a campaign to review its messages; the Sent By field shows the user or source recorded for each message.
Campaign reports can also be filtered using Created By.
Review User Activity
Navigate: Report > User Activity
The User Activity page is available to users with administrator access.
Use the filters to search by:
- User
- Action
- Date From
- Date To
The results show the time, user, action, affected item and its ID.
Recorded actions include:
- campaign created, updated, cancelled or deleted
- chat reply sent
- chat marked as read
- conversation starred or unstarred
- conversation archived or unarchived
- portal user deleted
Understand the user labels
- A portal user's name identifies an action completed while signed in to Hosted SMS.
- An administrator action may show the administrator's login username.
- API, Automation, Provider callback or System identifies an action that was not completed by a signed-in portal user.
- A deleted user remains visible as Name (Deleted, ID number) so older activity can still be identified.
- Unknown / recorded before user attribution may appear on older records that were created before user tracking was available.
